After the storm

in the beginning dad said that they can get some pinecone for the bomb fire. suddenly

they saw a den and in the den there was pinecone but under the pine cone was a cat skull. When they got back they put on the fire and they told dad about it and jessie started to cry because she died. dad said that we can decorate it and made jessie happy the end.

Basketball is a cool game to play. On Thursday after morning tea we have basketball in the hall.

We are in Mr Goodwin's maths class,”who’s the smartest teacher in the whole classroom in rm8 & rm7. My coaches are coach Malik and coach Yaran Ones small and the other one is tall as like he's taller than a monster truck.                                                                                                                               What we had to do we had to do our chess pass,pocket pass by using our left and right arms then told us how we shoot the ball in the hoop”.” so we had to bend your knees and shoot the ball in the hoop and keep you arms up.At the end we got to play golden child there were two teams, one has to shoot the ball in and the others has to run until you get to the end. If they shoot it in and you're still running you have to sit down.As I was walking through the breeze I felt excited like a monkey finding his bananas. When I got there I was frustrated by shooting the ball in the hoop but on the first time by shooting the ball in i got it in.

What do you expect an Auckland winter to be like? Sometimes it is freezing,cold and frosty. On June the first on Monday was the queen's birthday that’s when winter started. In the morning it was so cold that I couldn’t get out of my bed.

A kutai is a kind of mussel that you have in a kai that people can eat. People get there kutai in the sea,when the tides out that's when you can get them and take some and leave some for other people so they can get some. you can make mussel fritters with all the greddyans that can make it.

A kete is a bag that’s made out of flax from maori people. and if you got heaps of things in your hand you can put it in your kete and if you have lots of mussels put it in you kete (bag).

When you're trying to get some mussels and the tide is filled what will you do. I think to stay and wait for the tide to finnish. and when the tide is out that’s when you get the mussels but if the tide comes in you got to get out of there because if you don’t you will not no where to go when It goes.

blindfold game

Today in the morning we played the blindfold game. Everybody in our literacy class got in a semicircle and Miss LavaKula called the names of the children that were going first.

How to play the game you will need a plate,rice,blindfolded and safety pins. First you have to sit by the plate and let your teacher put the blindfold on you and she sets the time to one minute. and when she says go .

When it was my turn people were telling me to get a whole hand full and drop it on the paper but I didn’t do it. Isaac got ten because he got a hand full of rice with safety pins in his hand and just dropped it on the paper. I only got 1 safety pin. When one minute was done Miss Lavakula told us that how many safety pins we got an we had to go sit back down in the semicircle.

When everybody had their turn It was the teacher's turn. Miss Lavakula vs Miss Williamson to a battle for getting the most safety pins,everybody we're helping them to find the pins. when the time was finish, Miss lavaKula got  7 safety pins and Miss Williamson got 3 safety pins.
