  4. What is a ‘Kete’?a kete is a bag

Write a paragraph explaining three new words you have learnt today and what the meanings are for these words.

A kutai is a kind of mussel that you have in a kai that people can eat. People get there kutai in the sea, when the tides out that's when you can get them and take some and leave some for other people so they can get some. you can make mussel fritters with all the greddyans that can make it.

A kete is a bag that’s made out of flax from maori people. and if you got heaps of things in your hand you can put it in your kete and if you have lots of mussels put it in you kete (bag).

When you're trying to get some mussels and the tide is filled what will you do. I think to stay and wait for the tide to finnish. and when the tide is out that’s when you get the mussels but if the tide comes in you got to get out of there because if you don’t you will not no where to go when It goes.
